My Passion for Architecture and Design

As an architect, I am driven by a deep passion for design and storytelling. My work is centered around creating meaningful spaces and experiences that connect with people on a profound level. I have always been drawn to the world of architecture because of its ability to combine art, science, and technology to create something truly unique and impactful. One of the aspects that sets me apart as an architect is my ability to balance creativity with technical expertise. I have a natural talent for drawing and sketching, which I use as a tool to explore ideas and communicate concepts clearly and creatively. In fact, I find that drawing is not just a way of creating visual narratives, but also a means of distilling complex ideas into simple, intuitive forms. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work on a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial developments to infrastructure projects. As the head of the architectural design department at Vintimilla Constructora in Cuenca, Ecuador, I have led proposals for projects across multiple cities nationwide. My expertise in conceptual design, architectural planning, façade development, and detailed construction documentation has allowed me to make a real impact on the built environment. In addition to my technical skills, I have also developed strong soft skills that enable me to work effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. I have a proven track record of conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines. My experience in construction management has also taught me the importance of ensuring alignment with design specifications and quality standards. I am also passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of architecture. I have a strong understanding of CAD software, BIM methodologies, and 3D visualization techniques, which I use to create immersive and engaging project presentations. Furthermore, I have integrated sustainable design strategies into my work, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility. Some of my most notable projects include Perlazul, Vasco, Carrara, SoHo, Otero, Ribera, Bari, Cabai, Riomonte, Monte Albán, Alcalá del Valle, and Monsalve Hospital. These projects showcase my ability to balance historical preservation with contemporary needs, while also incorporating innovative design strategies and sustainable materials. One of my greatest achievements is the completion of over 950,000 ft2 of design space, with approximately 12 projects successfully completed, 6 of which have been finalized and others under construction. I am proud of the work I have done and the impact it has had on the communities I serve. In recent years, I have been recognized for my work through various awards and competitions. In 2021, I was recognized in a regional competition organized by Trama, one of Latin America’s leading architecture magazines, for a project focused on adaptive reuse. The project, which explored innovative strategies for transforming existing structures into dynamic, sustainable spaces, was celebrated for its sensitivity to context, material intelligence, and its potential to serve as a model for future interventions in the built environment. As a responsible and hardworking architect, I am committed to making a positive impact on the world through my work. I believe that good design has the power to transform lives and create meaningful connections between people and their environment. I am proud to be part of a profession that is dedicated to creating a better world, one building at a time.
